The Department of Political Science, Faculty of Arts, invites applications for a full-time tenure track position in Indigenous Politics. The Department seeks candidates with an excellent record of scholarship and publishing in Indigenous Politics, especially those whose area of expertise concerns policy studies, broadly conceived.??

Areas of policy include, but are not limited to: Indigenous economic development, ecology, urban policy, health policy, child policy, criminal justice and mass incarceration, human rights, Northern and circumpolar politics, politics and community engagement, land and treaty policies, Indigenous governance and knowledges, migration and borders, gambling, dispossession, militarization and/or war.

All qualified candidates must hold a PhD from the social sciences or the humanities (i.e. the candidate need not have a PhD in Political Science). Evidence of relevant teaching experience is required and community collaboration and of feminist and de-colonial pedagogies is particularly welcomed.

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications in accordance with the Faculty Agreement as per the negotiated salary scales: https://www.ualberta.ca/faculty-and-staff/pay-tax-information/salary-scales.
