Duties

  • Developing and maintaining tools and utilities for computer vision analysis systems
  • Developing and analysing neural net architectures
  • Developing and maintaining research databases
  • Developing and maintaining requisite reports and documentation
  • Developing and maintaining high performance computing platforms
  • Developing and maintaining data exploration and annotation interfaces
  • Structured knowledge sharing with participants, collaborators, and industry partners
  • Collecting, organizing, and synthesising research data
  • Tracking results and executing data analysis and reporting
  • Liaising with participants, collaborators, and industry partners
  • Conducting literature searches
  • Tracking the current state of the art within published scientific literature
  • Providing day-to-day organization of the project and associated research, including monitoring timelines, scheduling appointments, responding to questions from participants or investigators, booking facilities, and performing on site consultations with industry partners

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computing Science
  • 3rd year university level computing science education
    • Algorithms
    • Procedural programming
    • Data structures
  • CMPUT 328 - Visual Recognition or equivalent.
  • CMPUT 340 - Numerical Methods or equivalent.
  • CMPUT 391 - Database Management Systems or equivalent.
  • Linux System Administration
